Outer Banks

We got to spend another wonderful two weeks in Corolla, NC with Ward's family. The girls had a great time. The weather wasn't so wonderful the first week, but we made up for it the second week. Katie was not a fan of the ocean, but Julia loved it.

Julia had her first taste of spaghetti. She had a great time eating on her own.

Philadelphia Zoo

We made a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo this summer. Owen and Carmella were able to join us.  The kids had a great time petting and combing the goats in the new children's zoo.  The girls loved seeing all the different animals. 

Please Touch Museum

We spent the day at the Please Touch Museum with Reid and Nola. Katie was a little hesitant at first, but by the end of the day was having a great time.  Reid and Nola shared their carousel rides with us.  Katie was not a fan of sitting on the horse.

Swimming.. "By myself"

Katie loves the water and has really enjoyed being in the pool. She likes to jump off the side and can kick, but would not let go of me to swim.  Kendall and I were able to get her to swim between the two of us.  Today I am not sure what clicked, but all of a sudden she realized she could hold herself up in her vest and "swim" on her own. My goal was to have this happen by the end of the summer.

Birthday Party

We celebrated Katie's 2nd birthday and  Julia's almost 1st birthday.  We will be away for Julia's 1st birthday.  Thanks to all our family and friends who helped to celebrate.
