Katie has been through two hurricanes in her little life and Julia got to experience her first. There was tons of wind and rain. Sandy decided to help us out and take down the tree in front of our house. We had a guardian angel looking down on us.
Julia is two months old. It is amazing how quickly time is passing. She is a very happy little girl, even when Katie is annoying her. Julia is just about sleeping through the night.. which makes mommy and daddy very happy.
Our realtor, Mrs. Dimino has a day for her clients at Merrymead farm. It was a beautiful fall day and we had a great time. Katie picked out a pumpkin and had fun painting. This was Katie's second hayride.. she went last year but was too little to remember. We got to see a baby calf in the "maternity ward" of the farm with its mommy that was just 3 hours old. Julia enjoyed going along for the ride. We look forward to next year when Julia can enjoy the day too.
We spent one of the rainy beach days at the North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo. We learned a lot about the fish in North Carolina. Katie needs to learn all about the fish she will be catching in the future when she fishes with daddy.
We were able to spend a week in Corolla after the wedding. We had some good beach days and some not so good beach days. Katie had a blast on the beach. She loved playing in the sand and the water. She got an up close look at the fish that Uncle Bill caught surf fishing. Julia loved listening to the waves as she slept on the beach.
We went to Corolla, NC for Ward's cousin, Ashley's wedding. Ashley and Justin were married on the beach in Corolla. The weather was absolutely perfect for a beach wedding. Katie was one of the flower girls. She needed a little help from mommy walking down the aisle, but otherwise she did great. She stole the show with her dancing at the recption. The photographer and videographer paid lots of attention to her. As you can see, Julia found the reception to be quite boring.
